GETI WILBA, which was formed in 1984 from the merger of two family businesses, is the market leader for the processing of egg-laying hens and a renowned supplier of raw materials for numerous industrial and foodservice companies. The company covers the entire value chain from hen slaughtering to processing and produces at three locations (Bremervörde, Cuxhaven and in Weistrach (Austria)). In addition to hen meat, GETI WILBA is also active in the rapidly growing segment of plant-based meat alternatives.

In 2021, GETI WILBA strengthened its market position by the acquisition of apetito convenience. The major capacity increases and trendsetting technologies will support the overall goal to form a market leading supplier of frozen convenience food. Production is carried out at four locations in Bremervoerde, Cuxhaven and Hilter as well as through a subsidiary in Weistrach (Austria).
